Generate consent links

This article explains how to generate and track student consent for cloud storage of evaluation data. It applies to instructors.

  1. Go to Settings → General → Consent Management.
  2. Select your course from the course filter.
  3. Select Generate Consent Link for the course (if you have not already).
  4. Select Email next to a student to send that student a consent request, or use the bulk email action to notify multiple students at once.

Each student receives an email with a personal link to the consent form. Students complete the form in their browser — they do not sign in to SpeechGradebook. Status updates automatically in the consent table when they respond.

Make sure each student on your roster has a correct email address before sending requests. See Manage rosters.

Until consent is recorded per your institution's rules:

  • Evaluations may be held locally and not written to the database.
  • You do not need to re-run an evaluation after consent is collected — results are preserved and become available when consent is confirmed.
